    Anna,

Love your website, and I pick up a lot of hints and thoughts to share with my students in Travel Industry Management.

These are the top 3 tips I can think of when I am a road warrior. I would like to know if my fellow road warriors can share their tips too!

    1. Have a LOGMEIN acct (www.logmein.com) so I can connect to my home computer when I’m on the road and get those files or addresses I forgot to bring!

    2. Bring extra battery pack for my trusty Sony Vaio laptop.

    3. Get a PCMCIA card for wireless connection to a trusted ISP, e.g., from Verizon or Cingular (can’t afford one right now…going rate in Hawaii is about $59.99/month)…If the connectivity is as good as the TV ads, then I’ll get one when I grow up. It’s not always easy to find a “hot spot”, even if I have a built-in wireless LAN option.

    Thanks, Anna!

    Hello Anna:

I thought your concierage service was first rate. You certainly know how to navigate around the Santa Clara area. We should have asked for directions on our trip to Il Fornaio in San Jose. We decided to avoid 101 due to traffic congestion. We programmed the GPS to find San Carlos Ave. It took us to some quiet residential street in San Jose, nowhere near our desired destination.

Your service is great and any “distance” is made up by your extensive knowlege of the area and excellent communication skills.

    All the best,
    Chuck H.

    Aloha Dr. A,
I love your tips for the modern day road warrior! It would be interesting to know what many are carrying in their “jet pack” these days.
As for myself, when I am on the road without my kids, I would have a cell phone with charger close at hand, my laptop, video cam (to visit with my kids of course!), my iPod, and that really good book I’ve been meaning to finish. I don’t have to travel much for work anymore but when I do, that is what I have to have with me to stay connected.
    Mahalo,

    Dear Chuck,
Thank you for taking the time to give your feed back about my Virtual Concierge service and many thanks for your kind comments. Your feed back is so valuable and I appreciate it very much.
It was a great pleasure to meet you “face to interface”! I wish you called me on your cell, to guide you through the traffic of Silicon Valley to your destination. It can be very challenging, even for the best GPS on the market. I often navigate guest through traffic over the phone. I guess I am like your modern day back seat navigator. I hope you may think of me like your friend at your home away from home and get in touch with me when you are back in Silicon Valley. I would be happy to assist you with any future concierge needs.
    Warm regards,
    Virtual Anna
